Zoom to Improve – Framing for Online Video Calls

Tips from a Videographer to make sure your video calls go off without any hiccups

With face to face meetings being a thing of the past (but hopefully making a comeback soon) we have had to turn to video conferencing apps such as Zoom, Skype and Teams to keep in touch with staff, colleagues, teachers, friends and family.

We ourselves here at The Production People and Extras Ireland have been using Zoom to keep in touch with one another and continue working during these uncertain times. The platform has both been extremely helpful, as well as providing some comedic relief during our days.

Can you see me? Can you hear me? Enter background teenager with 101 questions but not a care in the world. For some strange reason, the minute that you are in the middle of a meeting, the entire household decides that it is time to pay the ‘office’ a visit. NBC’s SNL did a comedy skit which is incredibly relatable for anyone currently using the app – you can watch it here.

not be the first thing you think about, but it absolutely makes a big
difference! It is really quite simple and only takes a few moments to set up
before your call.
